A reserve price auction is where the seller sets a minimum price (the reserve) that must be met for the vehicle to sell. If bidding doesn't reach the reserve, the seller is not obligated to complete the sale. This protects sellers while giving buyers transparency about the minimum acceptable price.
Our platform clearly indicates the reserve status on each listing. You'll see 'Reserve Met' when bidding has reached or exceeded the seller's minimum price, giving you confidence that the vehicle will sell to the highest bidder.
If bidding ends without meeting the reserve, the auction closes without a sale. The seller may then choose to relist the vehicle, negotiate with the highest bidder, or keep the vehicle. No transaction fees are charged for reserve-not-met auctions.
Yes, a buyer's premium of 5% is added to the final hammer price. This fee covers platform services including vehicle inspection reports, title verification, and secure payment processing. The premium is clearly displayed before you place any bid.
Absolutely. We encourage pre-bid inspections. Each listing includes a detailed condition report with 100+ photos. For vehicles over $100,000, we also provide third-party inspection reports. Contact us to schedule an in-person viewing at our facility.
We accept wire transfer, certified check, and escrow services for all transactions. For vehicles under $50,000, we also accept major credit cards with a 3% processing fee. Full payment is due within 5 business days of auction close.
